Paytm Expands to Indonesia with New Subsidiary
One 97 Communications Limited, parent company of Paytm, has incorporated a new wholly owned step-down subsidiary — PT PAYTM INDONESIA TEKNOLOGI — on April 10, 2026, marking its strategic entry into the Indonesian market. The move underscores Paytm’s ambition to expand its fintech footprint in Southeast Asia.
The subsidiary was capitalized through a subscription of 1.5 million equity shares, amounting to IDR 15 billion (approx. ₹8.15 crore), funded via Paytm’s international holding structure, including Paytm Cloud Technologies and Paytm Singapore Pte. Ltd.
This incorporation follows earlier disclosures in December 2025 and signals a long-term commitment to building technological and operational capabilities in Indonesia — a key growth market for digital payments. The investment lays the foundation for future product rollout and market penetration, positioning Paytm to tap into Indonesia’s rapidly growing fintech ecosystem.
