Polycab India Incorporates Polycon Infra Projects for EPC Expansion
Polycab India Limited has incorporated a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Polycon Infra Projects Private Limited (PIPPL), on April 24, 2026, to strengthen its footprint in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) segment.
Key Details:
Ownership: 100% held by Polycab India.
Capital Structure: Authorized capital of ₹1 crore; paid-up capital of ₹10 lakh (100,000 equity shares at ₹10 face value).
Focus Areas: Large-scale infrastructure projects in power distribution, transmission, and telecommunications.
Strategic Rationale:
PIPPL will act as a dedicated arm to execute complex EPC contracts, enabling Polycab to:
Streamline project delivery and operational efficiency.
Participate more effectively in national infrastructure initiatives like Gati Shakti and PM Gati Shakti.
Leverage its existing cable and wire manufacturing expertise to offer integrated end-to-end solutions.
Outlook:
This move marks Polycab's evolution from a product manufacturer to a comprehensive infrastructure solutions provider. By housing EPC capabilities in a separate entity, the company can better manage risk, attract specialized talent, and pursue larger turnkey projects in India's rapidly expanding power and digital connectivity sectors.
With infrastructure capex remaining a policy priority, PIPPL positions Polycab to capture a larger share of the growing EPC market while reinforcing its leadership in the energy and telecom value chains.
