RailTel Corporation’s Recent Developments
RailTel Corporation, a Navratna PSU and one of India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers, announced two significant work orders in July. The firm received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from the Central Warehousing Corporation for a project valued at ₹96.99 crore, following an earlier ₹15.84 crore order from the Cuttack Development Authority. These contracts highlight the company’s growing traction in the infrastructure and telecom services segments.
Despite these positive developments, RailTel’s shares have been a little subdued over the past month or so.
In Q4 FY25, RailTel reported a strong 46.4% YoY rise in net profit to ₹113.4 crore, reflecting improved operational performance. With its pan-India optic fiber network along railway tracks, the company is well-positioned to benefit from ongoing digital infrastructure growth and public sector spending.
