RailTel Wins ₹255 Crore Tunnel Communication Project from RVNL

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for a ₹255.27 crore project to supply, install, test, and commission integrated tunnel communication systems across four railway tunnels (T-8 to T-11) and four associated stations spanning 36 km. The project includes critical safety and operational infrastructure: VHF Simplex voice communication, CCTV surveillance, public address systems, and emergency call points — essential for modern, secure railway operations in tunnel sections. Scheduled for completion by April 2028, the contract reinforces RailTel's role as a key technology partner for Indian Railways' infrastructure modernisation. As a Navratna PSU specialising in telecom and digital solutions, RailTel continues to expand its footprint in mission-critical railway communication systems. This win adds to RailTel's growing order book in railway digitalisation, supporting safer, connected, and efficient rail travel.
