RITES’ Recent Orders and pathway for continued Performance
Public sector infrastructure firm RITES Ltd. has secured two new contracts worth ₹64.01 crore, further strengthening its order book. The first is a $3.6 million (₹26.2 crore) order from the African Rail Company for the overhaul of two ALCO diesel-electric locomotives to be deployed in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana . The second contract, valued at ₹37.81 crore, comes from South Western Railways for the redevelopment of Tumakuru station , including signal, telecom, and electrical systems.
This marks the fifth major order RITES has received in the past three months, following projects in Gujarat and Guyana. On the back of a robust order pipeline, the company delivered strong Q4 FY25 results, reporting a revenue of ₹639 crore and a profit of ₹141 crore, with a 9% increase in net profit. These developments highlight RITES’ growing footprint in both domestic and international rail infrastructure markets.
