Samvardhana Motherson Unveils Vision 2030 with $108 Billion Revenue Target
Samvardhana Motherson International has launched its Vision 2030, aiming for $108 billion in revenue by FY30, up from $25.7 billion in FY25—implying a 33% CAGR. A key pillar of the plan is acquisition-led growth, with 75% of incremental revenue expected from inorganic expansion.
The company also targets a 40% ROCE by FY30, up from 18%, and plans to diversify beyond auto into aerospace, consumer electronics, healthcare, logistics, and IT. Non-auto revenue, currently ₹5,800 crore (5% of total), is set to grow significantly.
It aims to move up the value chain toward full vehicle assembly and maintain a dividend payout of up to 40%. The stock rose nearly 4% on the announcement, with brokerages like Jefferies ('Buy') and Investec expressing confidence.
However, the ambitious plan comes with caution—Motherson missed targets in its previous 2020–25 plan, raising questions on execution. Success will depend on effective acquisitions, diversification, and operational efficiency.
