Somany Ceramics Resumes Full Operations at Kassar Plant After Gas Supply Disruption

Somany Ceramics has fully resumed operations at its Kassar Plant in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, following a temporary disruption caused by an incident in GAIL’s Gauna-Bawana pipeline in mid-August. Thanks to an interim gas supply arrangement put in place by GAIL, the plant has gradually ramped up production and now operates at full capacity. The company had previously disclosed the operational halt on August 17 and 22, but swift action and coordination enabled a quick recovery, minimizing production losses. In a regulatory filing, Company Secretary Anuj Kalia confirmed that full capacity utilization has been restored, reflecting the company’s strong crisis management and operational resilience. As one of India’s leading ceramic manufacturers, this timely resumption ensures uninterrupted product supply and supports Somany’s financial and production goals for the year. Investors will watch upcoming results for any residual impact, though the situation appears well-contained.
