Tata Power’s Rooftop Solar Growth

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), India’s leading rooftop solar provider, achieved a record 45,589 installations in Q1FY26 , reflecting a 416% YoY growth . This brought its cumulative rooftop solar installations to over 204,443 units with a total capacity exceeding 3.4 GW , reinforcing its pivotal role in India’s clean energy transition. The strong performance supports the national target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and aligns with government initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana . TPREL also has a robust 4.3 GW solar manufacturing capacity in India and an extensive network of over 600 channel partners and 240 service centres across the country. With a growing customer base of over 200,000 , including more than 180,000 residential users , TPREL continues to lead in delivering customised solar solutions across sectors. The recent progress underscores Tata Power’s commitment to sustainability, energy security, and India’s path toward renewable self-reliance.
