STOCK PRICE ANALYSIS AND EXPECTED MOVEMENTS
After witnessing a strong and consistent bullish rally over the past several weeks, the stock price of Maruti Suzuki has now entered a phase of consolidation. Over the last two trading sessions, the stock has been trading within a narrow range, specifically between ₹16,385 on the higher side and ₹16,042 on the lower side. This sideways movement suggests that the strong upward momentum is losing steam in the short term, and market participants are possibly waiting for fresh cues before taking the next directional bet.
During this consolidation phase, the candlestick pattern that has emerged is an outside bar, which typically signals a potential reversal or a breakout setup, depending on the next few sessions. This pattern reflects increased volatility and indecision between buyers and sellers, often seen near key support or resistance zones.
Another important technical signal comes from the Bollinger Bands, where the stock price is currently trading at or above the upper band. This indicates that the price has stretched too far from its mean and may not be sustainable without a healthy correction. Moreover, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering above the 81 level, which is significantly above the overbought threshold of 70. An RSI reading this high typically suggests that the stock is overbought, and a pullback or correction becomes increasingly likely unless there's a strong fundamental trigger to justify further upside.
Given these signals, it is reasonable to expect a short-term price correction. If the selling pressure intensifies or profit booking sets in, the stock could likely move down towards its 20-day moving average, which currently stands at ₹15,395. This level could act as the first major support, and a healthy pullback to this region would also help reset the technical indicators to more neutral levels.
