Titagarh Rolls Out the 1st Trainset of Ahmedabad Metro - Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel visited the plant of Titagarh in Kolkata to receive the train Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd., the leading Indian rolling stock manufacturer, today rolled out its first driverless Made in India trainset for Ahmedabad to the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) at the company’s state-of-the-art Passenger Rail Systems facility in Uttarpara, West Bengal. Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Bhupendrabhai Patel, Chief Minister, Government of Gujarat, said, Today is a moment of pride as the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat is being realised by Titagarh Rail Systems Limited. The workforce of Titagarh reflects India’s rich diversity, with people from across the country working together as the company rolls out the new coach for Ahmedabad Metro Rail Phase2 under the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s visionary leadership. With the success of Make in India, infrastructure growth especially in railways has played a key role. Under the leadership of our Hon’ble PM, metro networks have expanded from 248 km to over 1,013 km, transforming India’s urban mobility.
