Maruti Suzuki – Why Shares Are Rising & Short-Term View

MARUTI
Fundamentals: Q1 FY26 profit beat (~₹3,700 Cr) driven by 37% export surge and higher non-operating income, offsetting weak domestic demand. Revenue up ~8% YoY; strong market share (~45%) and robust return ratios (ROE ~16%, ROCE ~22%). Capacity expansion underway with $860M investment in Haryana plant. Technical View: Breakout attempt above consolidation at ₹12,900–12,950; support at ₹12,840–12,850. Resistance at ₹13,100–13,150; a breakout above could open path to ₹14,000–15,000. RSI ~63, bullish but not yet overbought; volumes supportive. Analyst Rating: Consensus: Buy / Strong Buy; avg target ~₹13,800–14,000 (6–8% upside). Short-Term View: Holding above ₹12,850 keeps bias positive. Sustained move above ₹13,100 may trigger quick upside toward ₹14,000+. Traders can trail stop-loss near ₹12,800.
