Aurobindo Pharma Ltd was founded in 1986 and has grown into one of India's largest vertically integrated pharmaceutical companies. Its major activities include: APIs, intermediates, generic formulations, injectables, complex generics, specialty products, biosimilars, ARV products, CDMO activities. It is particularly strong in semi-synthetic penicillin APIs and formulations, while its global formulations footprint is increasingly important. The geographical mix is crucial with: US: ~43%, Europe: ~31%, Rest of World: ~10%, ARV: ~4%, India: relatively small, API: ~12%. Aurobindo's US business is therefore very important, but Europe has become an increasingly powerful second growth engine. During FY26 European formulations crossed €1 billion, with Q4 Europe revenue up 30.2% YoY to ₹2,795 Cr.
