Nestlé India Ltd Fundamental Outlook after Q2FY27 Result
Nestlé India delivered a strong Q2 FY27 performance, supported by robust volume growth, broad-based demand and improved profitability. Consolidated revenue increased 20.3% YoY to ₹6,788.3 crore, while net profit rose 35.9% to ₹1,009.6 crore. EBITDA grew approximately 31%, with margins expanding to 23.8%, reflecting operating leverage and effective cost management. Revenue & Business Outlook: Confectionery, beverages and other key categories supported growth, alongside improving rural distribution, general trade and quick-commerce channels. International product launches offer additional growth opportunities. Strong brands such as Maggi, Nescafé and KitKat continue to strengthen Nestlé's competitive positioning. Margins & Key Risks: Gross margins reportedly improved to 56.9%, up 260 basis points YoY, supported by pricing actions. However, volatility in cocoa, sugar, edible oils and other inputs remains a key concern. Higher advertising expenditure and potential H2 FY27 growth moderation could influence profitability. Investment Outlook: Despite strong results, the stock faced selling pressure towards ₹1,265 amid concerns over future growth and input costs. Investors should focus on sustained volume growth, margin resilience and forward valuation before making investment decisions. Conclusion: Nestlé India remains fundamentally well-positioned, backed by strong brands, distribution and consumer demand. However, the sustainability of earnings growth and commodity-price trends will determine its future performance. A valuation-based assessment is essential before taking a fresh investment position.
