Markets Just Rallied for a 4th Straight Day. Oil Falling Is Doing the Heavy Lifting.
Sensex climbed 544 points to close at 78,639.03 yesterday, gaining for a fourth consecutive session, with Nifty up 1.60% to 24,774.30. The driver: a sharp decline in crude oil prices as geopolitical tensions continue easing, alongside renewed foreign fund inflows.
This is the exact mirror image of the five-day losing streak we tracked a couple weeks back, driven by the same mechanism running in reverse. Rising oil pushed the market down for five sessions straight. Falling oil is now pushing it up for four. Same lever, opposite direction.
