A GOOD QUARTER GONE BY FOR APPAREL & FASHION RETAIL PLAYERS

The Q1FY26 earnings season has been subdued, with a few pockets of impressive numbers. However, the majority of the companies have sounded optimistic and hopeful of strong growth in the coming quarters. One such industry that has delivered decent numbers are from the apparel, fashion, and retail sector. Let's take a look at how the leading players in this segment performed in the Jun25 (Q1FY26) quarter.

VMM
- a popular retail chain outlet, the company reported a sales revenue of Rs 3,140 crore, up by 20% from the same quarter last year. Moreover, the company reported a net profit of Rs 206 crore, up by 37% from the same quarter last year. Its profit growth was propelled by improved cost efficiencies across the board and the benefits of operating leverage that came with its expansion.
TRENT
- known for outlets like Zudio and Westside, the company reported a sales revenue of Rs 4,883 crore, up by 19% from the same quarter last year. Moreover, the company reported a net profit of Rs 425 crore, up by 8.70% from the same quarter last year. The company is focussing on evolving it's differentiated consumer proposition that can appeal to a wider audience across diverse markets.
MANYAVAR
- known for its flagship brand Manyavar, the company reported a sales revenue of Rs 281 crore, up by 17% from the same quarter last year. Moreover, the company reported a net profit of Rs 70 crore, up by 12.90% from the same quarter last year. The festive season, along with weddings, is expected to drive earnings for the company in the coming quarter.
