ADANI POWER TO INVEST Rs 2 LAKH CRORE IN EXPANSION OF THERMAL POWER SUPPLY

will add 24GW of thermal capacity by FY32 at an investment of Rs 2 lakh crore. This capacity will be 30% of the country's total capacity expansion, as well as one of the largest private sector capex in the space. This will increase the company's thermal power capacity from 18GW now to 42GW by FY32. With power demand rising, thermal power with it's inherent ability to provide large-scale, reliable, round-the-clock power will continue to remain the backbone of the country’s energy security, providing critical base-load and grid balancing support. With such expansion plans in the pipeline, the company's revenue and profits are set to grow in the coming years.
