BHEL & TITAGARH FORM JV TO MAINTAIN VANDE BHARAT TRAINS

and Titagarh Rail Systems will set up a joint venture (JV) to undertake comprehensive maintenance of Vande Bharat sleeper train sets for 35 years. The two companies have signed an agreement to establish the JV, in which BHEL and Titagarh Rail Systems will each hold a 50 per cent stake.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is the flagship engineering and manufacturing company of India owned and controlled by the Government of India. Titagarh Rail Systems Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of railway freight wagons and passenger coaches. The JV will combine the technical capabilities of both companies to maintain the operational readiness, safety and reliability of the Vande Bharat sleeper train sets throughout their 35-year service life.
