CEMENT COMPANIES TO EXPECT 30-80% PROFIT GROWTH IN Q1FY26
After seeing an improvement in both prices and volumes, cement companies are now expecting a 30-50% rise in profits for the Apr-Jun25 quarter. Further, companies having greater exposure to East and South India will see a stronger improvement in profits given the comparatively bigger price hikes in these regions.
As far as cement prices are concerned, they have seen an increase for the third consecutive quarter this time. At Rs 377 per bag, average cement prices for the Jun25 quarter is also the highest since the Dec23 quarter. Prices will play a key role in profit margins as the industry will step into the seasonally weak monsoon quarter.
