DEFENSE STOCKS THAT ARE LIKELY TO BENEFIT FROM THE Rs 67,000 CRORE CLEARANCE BY DAC
India's Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has cleared Acceptance of Necessity (AoNs) worth Rs 67,000 crore for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The council has approved the acquisition of Thermal imager-based driver Night Sight for the infantry fighting vehicle for the Indian Army. It has also approved the procurement of Compact Autonomous Surface Craft as well as the upgradation of the BARAK-1 Point Defence Missile Systems for the Indian Navy.
For the Indian Air Force, the council has the procurement of Mountain Radar, upgradation of SAKSHAM and SPYDER Weapons System for integration with the Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS), granted to acquire Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) drones, as well as approval for maintenance of the S-400 Air Defence System.
