DRONE STOCKS IN FOCUS AS GOVT TO BOOST LOCAL MANUFACTURING

Drone manufacturing companies in India are in focus as the government is planning to introduce a Rs 2,000 crore incentive scheme to boost the local manufacturing of civil and military drones. The initiative aims to decrease the dependence on imported drones and countering Pakistan’s expanding drone programme which is backed by China and Turkey. The implementation of this scheme will boost the Indian drone industry and defence-tech firms, and also promote indigenisation of spare parts.
