ELECTRIC VEHICLE BUS MANUFACTURER SIGNS LARGE ORDER WITH INDIAN ARMY

has signed a contract worth Rs 130 crore with the Indian Army to supply 113 electric buses and 43 fast chargers. This agreement marks the army’s first major induction of electric buses. While supporting the government's PM E-Drive programme of clean and sustainable mobility, this move will also help modernise the army’s transport fleet, cut reliance on fossil fuels, and contribute to India’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions. These electric buses will be deployed across the three services, setting an example for the use of green technology in the defence sector. On the financial side, the company has achieved a sales revenue of Rs 5,472 crore in FY25, up by 9.5% as compared to FY24. Moreover, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 215 crore in FY25, up by 10.8% as compared to FY24. With the boost in electric vehicles, the company is set to gain more orders from the commercial vehicle segment in the near future.
