GMR TO INVEST Rs 19,400 CRORES TO UPGRADE TWO MAJOR AIRPORTS

is now planning to invest Rs 19,400 crore in two of it's Indian airports, New Delhi and Hyderabad, over the next five to seven years. This investment is planned to manage the growing passenger traffic and modernise the infrastructure. The company is planning to invest around Rs 13,800 crore in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, and the remaining Rs 5,600 crore will be invested in the New Delhi airport. The money for these projects will come through loans and their own funds. With the planned upgrade, Hyderabad airport will be able to handle 80 million passengers from the present capacity of 34 million passengers. Having a market cap of Rs 1,04,000 crore, the promoters have increased their stake in the company from 66.24% in Jun25 to 67.16% in Jun26, thereby showing confidence in the company's growth.
