The Government of India is preparing to introduce a revamped production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme aimed at accelerating mobile phone and electronics exports, with a proposed outlay exceeding Rs 46,000 crore. The updated scheme, expected to be rolled out by May 2026, marks a shift in focus from domestic manufacturing to export-led growth.
