GRASIM IN THE NEWS AFTER IT'S SUBSIDIARY ACQUIRES SOLENERGI POWER FROM SHELL

is in the news after the company announced that it's subsidiary, Aditya Birla Renewables, will acquire Solenergi Power from Shell Overseas Investment B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell Plc, in a deal worth $1.8 billion (Rs 17,200 crore). Under the agreement, Aditya Birla Renewables will acquire 100% of the equity shares and other securities of Solenergi Power, including those of it's subsidiaries. This acquisition significantly expands the company's clean energy portfolio to 9.4 GW.
GRASIM
is the flagship company of the Aditya Birla group and it ranks amongst India's largest private sector companies. Having a market cap of Rs 2,11,760 crore, the company's stock price is trading near it's all time high levels, thereby indicating a strong demand. Moreover, FIIs have also shown confidence in the company's performance and have increased their stake from 13.45% in Mar25 to 14.91% in Mar26.
