HINDUSTAN ZINC IN COLLABORATION WITH VIRGINIA TECH TO BOOST SILVER RECOVERY

World's largest zinc producer,

HINDZINC
has entered into a collaboration with US-based Virginia Tech for advanced research on improving silver recovery across it's lead–zinc concentrators. Virginia Tech is a research university and known for it's expertise in mining engineering, mineral processing and applied metallurgical research. The institute will do advanced scientific studies in order to refine flotation methods and optimise the use of reagents (specialised chemicals added during processing to help separate and concentrate metals). This in turn would support better concentrate quality and more efficient plant operations. Recently share price of
HINDZINC
had shot up due to the increase in silver prices. Higher silver prices are expected to provide better profits to the company. Q3FY26 results saw an uptick of 35% EBITDA as compared to the same period last year, so with better silver recovery, the earnings are exxpected to further grow in the coming quarters.
