INDIA'S HOSPITAL STOCKS ARE SOARING

The hospital sector in India is growing fast, with strong revenue and margin performance backed by rising Average Revenue Per Occupied Bed (ARPOB) and aggressive capacity expansion. In Q4FY25, hospitals on average, posted 14.70% YoY revenue growth and around 20% EBITDA growth. ARPOBs also rose across the board.

KIMS
saw a 21% jump,
FORTIS
clocked 8%,
APOLLOHOSP
5% and
NH
(with its famously low-cost model) nudged up 3%. Operating margins have been increasing and management commentary is confident. Apollo plans to add 4,300 beds in the next few years. KIMS expects to grow its capacity 45%. Juniper has its eyes set on Thane, Pune and Dombivli expansions. Fortis,
MEDANTA
and
MAXHEALTH
are all in some phase of capital deployment. By adding ageing demographics, lifestyle diseases, rising insurance penetration, and government schemes like Ayushman Bharat, the hospital sector in India is seeing a robust demand.
