INDIA'S ROLE IN GLOBAL AEROSPACE SUPPLY CHAIN GROWS

Global aerospace companies are increasingly sourcing aircraft components from India, this is driving strong growth in the country’s aero component sector. Indian firms are scaling operations and moving up the value chain, with several preparing to raise funds through initial public offerings. Favourable tariff structures and government incentives have further strengthened India’s position as a key supply hub. Aerospace sourcing from India has expanded sharply as Boeing now procures over Rs 8,771 crore worth of components annually and Airbus aims to source Rs 17,542 crore worth of components by 2030.
