INDIAN RAILWAYS TO BUILD 1500 VANDE BHARAT CHAIR CAR COACHES, STOCKS TO KEEP A WATCH

Indian Railways has issued an order to manufacture 1500 Vande Bharat chair car coaches — equivalent to 88 trains — over a four-year period till 2030. These new coaches will be produced by Integral Coach Factory (Chennai), Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala), and Modern Coach Factory (Raebareli). This move comes as a replacement to the ageing Shatabdi Express trains.
