JSW ENERGY TO PROCURE TURBINE GENERATORS FOR IT'S 1600 MW POWER PLANT

has entered into a contract with Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Ltd for procurement of two steam turbine generators of 800 MW each for it's Salboni Thermal Power Project in West Bengal. These turbine-generator units will be manufactured and delivered in line with the project’s construction schedule to support timely commissioning of the 1600 MW plant. currentlyoperates 5658 MW of thermal generation capacity using a mix of domestic and imported coal. With the Salboni project under construction and an option to add a further 1800 MW at KSK Mahanadi, the company’s total thermal capacity is expected to reach 9058 MW. With the expansion of the company's power output, and in view of the growing power demand, the company is expected to give good results for FY26.
