JSW STEEL AND POSCO FORM JOINT VENTURE TO SET UP 6 MTPA GREENFIELD STEEL PLANT IN ODISHA

has approved a 50:50 joint venture with POSCO to establish a 6 million tonne per annum (MTPA) greenfield integrated steel plant in the state of Odisha. POSCO will invest about Rs 508.8 crore for it's stake, with the transaction expected to be completed by Dec26. The plant is expected to cater to both domestic and export markets. The partnership will enable access to advanced steelmaking technologies, particularly for high-grade automotive steel, supporting import substitution and strengthening product portfolio. With steel prices going up, the company had reported a strong Q3FY26 quarter. It has also been maintaining a healthy dividend payout of 25% making it a good investment opportunity for regular income.
