JUPITER WAGON SECURES 100 MW BESS PROJECTS FROM WEST BENGAL

Railway wagon manufacturing company $JWL has secured two standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. The BESS projects are located at Jeerat and Kharagpur, with a combined capacity of 100 MW and involve approximately Rs 400 crore in BESS supply and commissioning. These projects were secured through e-reverse auctions conducted under a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, and will operate under a 15-year Build, Own and Operate (BOO) model with WBSEDCL, providing enhanced revenue visibility. The company is expanding it's business profile from railway wagon manufacturing to energy storage systems.
