KIRLOSKAR OIL ENGINES TO DEVELOP MARINE ENGINE FOR INDIAN NAVY
KIRLOSENG will be developing India’s first locally made marine engines for supply to the Indian Navy by April 2028. The prototype diesel engine will comprise over 50% indigenous content. The engine is being developed at a cost of Rs 270 crore, out of which 70% of this cost is being contributed by the Central government. In addition to the 6 MW V12 engine, the order also includes the development of a detailed design for a 3-10 MW diesel engine.
Having a market cap of Rs 19,970 crore, the company has reported a strong profit growth of 39% CAGR over last 3 years. Moreover, the stock price is trading above all it's key moving averages, thereby showing a strong momentum in the stock.
