MARUTI SUZUKI TO INVEST Rs 14,000 CRORE IN FY27 ON CAPACITY EXPANSION
India's largest passenger vehicle manufacturer,
MARUTI
will invest Rs 14,000 crore in FY27 to add 5 lakh more capacity in two plants – one each in Kharkhoda (Haryana) and Hansalpur (Gujarat) - from the current capacity of 24 lakh units per annum. Total vehicle sales in FY26 were at a record of 24.22 lakh units, up from 22.34 lakh units in FY25. The company feels that the GST rate cuts and interest rate cuts will give a boost to the auto industry.
Having a market cap of Rs 4.18 lakh crore, the company reported it's highest ever sales turnover of Rs 1,83,316 crores in FY26, up by 20% compared to the sales turnover of Rs 1,52,913 crores in FY25. With capacity expansion in the pipeline, the company's sales are expected to further grow in the coming years.
