RAILWAY COMPANY BAGS Rs 1,600 CRORE CONTRACT FROM MUMBAI METRO

TITAGARH
has received a Rs 1,600-crore contract for manufacturing 108 coaches for Mumbai Metro. It will design, manufacture, supply, install, and commission the coaches for Mumbai Metro's Line 6. The profit margin of this new contract remains consistent with the current trend of 9-10% thereby improving the company's balance sheet.
TITAGARH
(Formerly Titagarh Wagons Limited) was incorporated in 1997 and is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and selling of Freight Wagons, Passenger Coaches, Metro Trains, Train Electricals, Steel Castings, Specialised Equipments & Bridges, Ships, etc. The company caters to both domestic and export markets. With a market cap of Rs 11,000 crore, the company's sales revenue in FY25 was Rs 3,868 crore and a net profit of Rs 275 crore. Although FY25 was a slow year for the company due to lack of government spending on railway infrastructure, the current FY26 is expected to be a strong year in view of the government's allocation on railway expansion in this fiscal.
