SHIPBUILDING STOCK IN THE NEWS AFTER SECURING Rs 200 CRORE ORDER FROM ONGC

recently remained in news after the company announced that it has secured a significant order valued at about Rs 200-crore from
ONGC
for the dry dock/major lay-up repairs of one of its jack-up rigs. The project is expected to be executed within the next 12 months. In July this year, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE), thereby setting the stage for long-term collaboration across critical segments of shipbuilding and maritime development. Looking at the financials, the firm reported an 8% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its net profit to Rs 188 crore in Q1FY26 Q1FY26, as compared to Rs 174 crore in the same period last year. It's revenue from operations grew 39% YoY to Rs 1,069 crore during the reporting quarter, as against Rs 771 crore in the first quarter of FY25.
