TATA POWER AND SUZLON ENERGY SIGN AGREEMENT FOR Rs 6,000 CRORE WIND POWER PROJECT

TATAPOWER
has recently signed a deal with
SUZLON
for the development, construction, and supply of 700 megawatt (MW) wind turbines in Andhra Pradesh. This Rs 6,000 crore project is part of a 7 gigawatt (GW) mega plan announced by Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) and the state government in Mar25. Further, this is the first wind power project to be developed in Andhra Pradesh since the year 2019. With a market cap of Rs 1,23,548 crore, the shares of
TATAPOWER
are currently trading at Rs 387, a fall of more than 20% from it's all time high price of Rs 492. The company has seen a sales growth of 4.28% and profit growth of 6.14% in Q1FY26 as compared to the same quarter last year. With a market cap of Rs 82,284 crore, the shares of
SUZLON
are currently trading at Rs 60.50, a fall of about 30% from it's all time high price of Rs 86. The company has seen a strong sales growth of 54.90% and profit growth of 7.28% in Q1FY26 as compared to the same quarter last year. This agreement will benefit both the companies in the long term.
