THREE SHIPBUILDING STOCKS TO BENEFIT AS INDIAN NAVY TARGETS TO HAVE 200 WARSHIPS BY THE YEAR 2035
Supported by government policies and a strong execution pipeline, India’s shipbuilding and maritime capex cycle is booming. This aligns with the government’s ambition to position India among the top five shipbuilding nations and a global ship-repair hub over the next decade.
Currently the Indian Navy has 132 warships in it's fleet and has 68 warships on order valued at around Rs 2-lakh crore. Therefore it targets to have a fleet of about 200 warships by the year 2035.
Three shipbuilding stocks that can benefit from this ambitious plan are MAZDOCK , COCHINSHIP , and GRSE .
