VA TECH WABAG WINS LARGE INTERNATIONAL ORDER FROM GEORGIA

Waste water treatment company

WABAG
has won a large order for it's consortium from the United Water Supply Company of Georgia towards the construction of a 19 million litres per day (MLD) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The project, funded by the European Investment Bank, involves the development of a state-of-the-art wastewater and sludge treatment facility at Kutaisi, the third-largest city of Georgia. This 19 MLD WWTP can be expanded to a maximum capacity of 56 MLD in future. With this order, the company marks it's foray into the Georgian market. Having a market cap of Rs 7,800 crore, the company has delivered good profit growth of 26% CAGR over last 5 years. DIIs have also increased stake from 2.01% in Dec24 to 4.32% in Dec25 thereby showing confidence in the company for long term growth.
