VODAFONE IDEA PLANS TO REPAY SPECTRUM DUES IN 3 YEARS

plans to pay nearly Rs 49,000 crore in spectrum dues over the next three years, with payments of about Rs 7,000 crore in FY27, Rs 15,000 crore in FY28 and Rs 27,000 crore in FY29. The telcom giant expects to fund these through higher EBITDA, internal cash generation and fresh bank funding, while also pursuing a Rs 45,000-crore network expansion plan. Moreover, the company is betting on rapid 5G expansion and the higher data usage of 5G customers to drive it's turnaround, with the telecom operator targeting free cash flow generation alongside subscriber growth and a three-fold increase in cash EBIDTA over the next three years. Having a market cap of Rs 1,58,831 crore, the Government of India owns 49.02% stake in the company, which the promoters hold 25.64%. The remaining 25.34% stake is held by FIIs, DIIs, and public.
