HFCL
HFCL has approved an investment of ₹820 crore to expand its manufacturing capacity for optical fibre, optical fibre cables and optical fibre preforms. The company plans to increase its production capacity to around 43.1 million fibre kilometres for optical fibre, 62 million cable kilometres for optical fibre cables and 600 tonnes for optical fibre preforms after the expansion. The move is aimed at strengthening HFCL’s position in the growing telecom and digital infrastructure market, where demand for high-speed connectivity and fibre networks continues to increase. The company is also targeting opportunities arising from 5G deployment, data-centre expansion and broadband infrastructure. The capacity addition is expected to improve HFCL’s ability to serve both domestic and international customers and support its long-term growth in the optical networking segment. The latest investment represents a significant expansion of the company’s manufacturing footprint.
