Reliance Industries Outperforms Market Despite Weak Session

RELIANCE
Reliance Industries shares managed to rise even as the broader Indian stock market declined sharply during the trading session. The stock gained about 1.3%, closing near ₹1,424, while the benchmark indices such as Sensex and Nifty fell significantly due to global geopolitical tensions and rising crude oil prices. Strong buying interest and higher-than-average trading volume supported the stock’s move despite negative market sentiment. Reliance also outperformed several peers in the energy and gas sector, where many companies saw declines during the session. Analysts noted that investors continue to view Reliance as a defensive large-cap play because of its diversified businesses across energy, telecom and retail. However, the stock still remains below its recent 52-week high, indicating cautious sentiment among investors. Overall, Reliance stood out as one of the few major stocks to show resilience during the market downturn. Disclaimer: Investments in securities are subject to market risk.
