Waaree Energies Secures 2 GW Solar Module Supply Order

Waaree Energies has secured an order to supply 2 GW of solar modules to a leading domestic solar developer. The company disclosed the order after the market close, stating that the modules will be supplied during FY27 and FY28. The financial value of the contract was not disclosed. Waaree Energies said the transaction is a one-time arrangement and does not qualify as a related-party transaction, with no interest held by its promoter group or group companies in the customer. The order adds a sizeable module-supply commitment to Waaree Energies’ business pipeline as India continues to expand its renewable-energy generation capacity. The company has been increasing its manufacturing capabilities across solar modules and cells and is also pursuing opportunities in international markets. The latest 2 GW order provides additional execution visibility over the next two financial years and strengthens the company’s presence in the domestic solar module supply chain.
