AstraZeneca Pharma India Gets CDSCO Nod for Imfinzi (Durvalumab) in Gastric Cancer Treatment

AstraZeneca Pharma India has received regulatory approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) to import, sell, and distribute Durvalumab (Imfinzi) in India. The approval covers Durvalumab Solution for Infusion in 120 mg/2.4 mL and 500 mg/10 mL strengths. Durvalumab, used in combination with FLOT chemotherapy (fluorouracil, leucovorin, oxaliplatin, and docetaxel) as neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy, followed by single-agent Durvalumab, is indicated for adult patients with resectable gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma (GC/GEJC). This approval strengthens AstraZeneca Pharma India’s oncology portfolio and expands access to advanced immunotherapy treatments for cancer patients in India.
