Bajaj Finance Share Split, Bonus Issue & Dividend Explained.

If you own shares of Bajaj Finance or are planning to invest, here’s some good news – they’ve announced a bonus issue, a stock split, and a dividend payout! Let’s break it down so it’s super easy to understand: 1. Bonus Shares: What’s That? Bajaj Finance is giving 4 extra shares for every 1 share you own – this is a 4:1 bonus issue. ✅ Example: If you have 10 shares, you’ll get 40 more, so total = 50 shares. 2. Stock Split: What’s That? After giving you the bonus shares, Bajaj Finance will split each share into 2. This is a 1:2 stock split. ✅ So your 50 shares will become 100 shares! Note: The value of your investment doesn’t change. It just increases the number of shares and reduces the price per share proportionally. 3. Dividends – Final and Special Bajaj Finance has declared a total dividend of ₹56 per share for FY25: • Final Dividend: ₹44 per share I. Record Date: May 30 II. Payment Date: On or around July 28 • Special Interim Dividend: ₹12 per share I. Record Date: May 9 II. Payment Date: On or around May 26 III. Reason: One-time gain from the sale of Bajaj Housing Finance shares during the IPO in September 2024. Summary: If you own 10 shares, you will: ✅ Get 40 bonus shares (10+40) ✅ End up with 100 shares after the split (1:2) ✅ Receive ₹560 in total dividends (56 × 10 shares = ₹560 (pre-bonus)), if you hold shares on the right dates Note: Dividends are calculated on the original number of shares before the bonus and split. Execution Timeline: • Bonus and stock split are expected to be completed by June 27, subject to approvals. • Dividend payments will follow their respective record and payment dates. Why is this Good News? • Bonus & stock split make the share more affordable for new investors. • Existing shareholders get more shares, increasing liquidity. • Dividends mean extra income!
