Bank of India Shows Strong Growth in Q2 with Higher Deposits and Loans – Stock in Focus
Bank of India has announced its financial performance for the second quarter (Q2) of this year, and the results show steady growth in both deposits and loans compared to the same period last year. The bank’s global business, which includes both loans and deposits from India and other countries, grew by 11.8%, reaching ₹15.61 lakh crore, up from ₹13.97 lakh crore last year. This means the bank is expanding well both in India and abroad. Its global deposits — the total money customers keep in the bank — increased by 10.08%, from ₹7.75 lakh crore to ₹8.53 lakh crore. At the same time, the global gross advances — the total amount the bank has lent to customers — jumped 14%, from ₹6.21 lakh crore to ₹7.08 lakh crore. In India alone, the bank also performed strongly: • Domestic deposits rose by 8.5% to ₹7.30 lakh crore, compared to ₹6.72 lakh crore last year. • Domestic gross advances (loans within India) grew even faster — up 14.6% to ₹5.96 lakh crore, from ₹5.20 lakh crore. This shows that more people and businesses are trusting Bank of India with their money and also borrowing more for their needs — a good sign of both customer confidence and economic activity. Overall, Bank of India’s Q2 performance highlights its healthy growth, strong loan demand, and improving balance between deposits and lending. The bank’s focus on expanding its business across India and globally seems to be paying off well.
