BHEL Bags ₹5,400 Cr Coal Gasification Order in Coal India JV Project – Shares in Focus

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has secured a major order worth ₹5,400 crore from Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals (BCGCL). The order is for the coal gasification and raw syngas cleaning plant (LSTK-1 package) for BCGCL’s coal-to-2,000 TPD ammonium nitrate project at Lakhanpur, Odisha. BCGCL is a joint venture between BHEL and Coal India, with a 49:51 shareholding, making this a strategically important project. This win strengthens BHEL’s order book, boosts long-term revenue visibility, and reinforces its leadership in coal gasification and process plant projects aligned with India’s energy and fertilizer security goals.
