Big Money Moves on 18th Aug: FII & DII Activity.
On 18th Aug 2025, both domestic and foreign investors were active in the Indian stock market: DIIs (Domestic Institutional Investors): • Bought shares worth ₹18,649.74 cr and sold ₹14,545.93 cr, making a net inflow of ₹4,103.81 cr. ➝ This means Indian mutual funds, insurers, and institutions pumped more money into the market. FIIs/FPIs (Foreign Institutional Investors): • Bought ₹20,070.25 cr, sold ₹19,519.40 cr, leaving a net inflow of ₹550.85 cr. ➝ Foreign investors were also net buyers, though on a smaller scale compared to DIIs. Monthly Trend (Aug so far): • DIIs have infused a massive ₹59,899.09 cr. • FIIs, despite today’s buying, still show an overall outflow of ₹23,640.66 cr this month. In Short: • Strong DII support is acting as a cushion for Indian markets even when FIIs pull money out. • This shows growing confidence of domestic institutions in India’s growth story.
