Big Money Moves on 25th Aug: FII vs DII!

On 25th Aug 2025, domestic and foreign investors showed contrasting moves in the Indian stock market: DIIs (Domestic Institutional Investors): Bought shares worth ₹13,371.09 cr and sold ₹10,194.40 cr, making a net inflow of ₹3,176.69 cr. ➝ Indian mutual funds, insurers, and institutions continued to pump money into equities. FIIs/FPIs (Foreign Institutional Investors): Bought ₹9,951.36 cr, sold ₹12,417.60 cr, leading to a net outflow of ₹2,466.24 cr. ➝ Foreign investors booked profits and remained net sellers. Monthly Trend (Aug so far): • DIIs: +₹69,360.20 cr (heavy inflows) • FIIs: -₹28,217.26 cr (consistent outflows) Strong and steady DII buying continues to provide a cushion to Indian markets against persistent FII selling.
