Ceigall India Wins Big Solar Power Projects Worth ₹1,309 Crore – Stock in Focus
Ceigall India, an infrastructure company, is in the news after winning two large solar power project orders in Maharashtra worth a total of ₹1,309 crore. Big Orders from Maharashtra Government The company received two Letters of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 scheme. This scheme aims to promote solar power generation for farmers and rural areas. First Project: • Capacity: 147 MW (AC) solar power • Locations: 2 districts in Maharashtra • Project cost: ₹597 crore • Ceigall will build, operate, and maintain the plant for 25 years under a long-term power supply agreement. Second Project: • Capacity: 190 MW (AC) solar power • Locations: 4 districts in Maharashtra • Project cost: ₹712.16 crore • Same 25-year agreement for operation and maintenance. Together, these two projects add up to 337 MW of solar capacity — a major boost for India’s renewable energy efforts. Recent Project in Himachal Pradesh Earlier, on September 30, Ceigall also got a Letter of Intent (LoI) worth ₹225 crore from Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation for developing a bulk drug park in Una district.
