Deepak Nitrite Reports Steep Decline in Q1 FY26 Earnings.

Deepak Nitrite witnessed a sharp downturn in its June 2025 quarter performance, with significant declines across revenue, operating profit, and earnings. Sales fell 13% YoY to ₹1,890 crore from ₹2,167 crore in June 2024, reflecting softer demand or pricing pressures. EBIDT plunged 39% to ₹190 crore from ₹309 crore, indicating margin contraction. Net profit dropped 45% YoY to ₹112 crore compared to ₹203 crore last year, while EPS fell 45% to ₹8.23 from ₹14.85. At the current price of ₹1,873 and a market cap of ₹25,551 crore, the stock trades at a PE of 42.1, which may be considered high given the earnings pressure. Key takeaway: The company is facing a challenging business environment, with both top-line and bottom-line under strain, raising the need for operational recovery in the coming quarters.
